MUSIC MAKERS Music Exploration Camp for K-2

WHAT WILL BE OFFERED AT THE CAMP?

The following will be incorporated into each day at camp:

• Singing and creative movement
• Playing non-pitched instruments
• Playing pitched instruments
• Improving literacy skills through music

WHO WILL BE THE CAMP INSTRUCTORS?

The camp director and instructors are elementary music specialists from the Metropolitan Nashville Public Schools .

WHAT DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BRING TO CAMP EACH DAY?

• A mid-morning snack (no glass containers or bottles)
• Lunch (no glass containers or bottles)
• A bottle of water

WHAT NOT TO BRING TO CAMP

• Toys of any type
• Cell phones or other electronic devices

WHAT SHOULD MY CHILD WEAR TO CAMP?

Students should wear comfortable clothes and sturdy shoes. Because of movement activities, students should not wear flip-flops.

CAMP FEE

$150 (non-refundable) To be accepted to the camp, the completed registration form, medical form and camp fee must be submitted. Please make checks payable to Metro Nashville Public Schools.

CAMP ENROLLMENT

Camp registration limited to 60 students. Students will be placed on a first come, first served basis. Notification will be made to those accepted into the camp.
