Grading Classification
 

Credits earned in grades 9-12 shall be by semester and not by yearly averages.  For attendance and accounting purposes, grade-level classification will be made only at the beginning of the fall semester.

A Student Needs

  • 6 credits earned to be classified as a sophomore
  • 12 credits earned to be classified as a junior
  • 17 credits earned to be classified as a senior
  • 24 credits earned to graduate

 

Six credits of the 24 required for graduation must be arts to complete the requirements for graduation.

                A                 93-100             4.0

                B                 85-92               3.0

                C                 75-84               2.0

                D                 70-74               1.0

                F                  0-69                 0.0

 

The Honor Roll

The following criteria must be met in order for a student to be considered for the Honor Roll or Principal’s List:

  • Honor Roll – Student must maintain a grade-point average of 85 or above.
  • Principal’s List – Student must achieve a grade-point average of 93 or above.

A student may not be placed on the current Honor Roll with a grade lower than 85 in any class for that nine weeks.
