Library Media Center (LMC)
 

I.                    Operating Hours 7:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.

a.       Before school and at lunch, students must have a pass from a campus supervisor to go to the library.  They must turn in the passes – if the LMC is missing any passes, fewer students can use the library as only a set number of passes will be printed.

b.      During class, students wishing to use the library must have a note from a teacher and must have work to do.

c.       Substitute teachers are not allowed to send students to the library.

 

II.                Library Passes

a.       Teachers may send no more than five unsupervised students with signed notes.

b.      Students will not be permitted to leave the library except to return to class with a signed note.  Students must ask to return to class 5-10 minutes before the end of the period or expect to remain in the library until the bell rings.

c.       Students may not leave the library to use the restroom.

 

III.             Check-Out Procedures

a.       Students must bring the book or material to the circulation desk.

b.      Students must show their NSA ID badges to check out a book.

c.       Students must promptly return books so others may have use of them.

d.      There are no late fees, but students are responsible for any lost or damaged books which are checked out in their names.

 

IV.             Computer Use

a.       All students must have an internet agreement on file in the library to use the Internet.

b.      Students must sign in and indicate which computer number they will use.

c.       There are to be NO changes made to the settings, desktops, homepage or anything else on these computers.  These belong to the school.

d.      Copies are 15 cents each. Students,   remember, if you print, you pay!  Please be careful not to print more than you can pay.

e.       If students come to the library during a class, remember they must have a school project on which to work.  School computers are for school related work only!

 

V.                Prices

a.       Copies are 15 cents each for each page printed by computer printer or copy machine.

b.      Students must come with a note to use the copy machine.

c.       Transparencies are $.50.

d.   Folders are $.25.

e.  CDs and DVDs - $1.00.
